Happy Hempys are made of two luscious layers of Hemp Fleece, which is a combination of 55% hemp 45% cotton. You can choose an optional layer of custom-milled microfleece on the inside to keep baby feeling dry. Happy Hempys have been happy hempys prewashed to remove oily build up & to help prevent shrinkage, although they may shrink a small amount with successive washings.
Happy Hempys have elastic at the legs & back to allow for a snug yet comfortable fit. They are made with Aplix brand hook & loop closures which fit a wide range of babies & make for very fast nappy changes on wiggly little ones. The big benefit of Happy Hempys is that you decide what to stuff them with & how much stuffing your baby needs. Inserts are sold separately.

Sizing - (these nappies are on the smaller side so you may need to size up)
Small - newborn to 5.5kg (up to 12lbs)
Medium - 5.5kg to 9kg (12lbs to 20lbs)
Large - 9kg to 15.8kgs (20lbs to 35lbs)
XLarge - 13.6kg to 18kg (30lbs to 40lbs)

Happy Hempys nappies are made of absorbent materials inside & out, so you will need a cover for this style of nappy. Cloth My Bot cover suggestion - All Swaddlebees Covers, Happy Heiny's Covers, Bummis PUL, Blueberry Onesize Coveralls, Tots Bots Covers & Fleece Covers, Wonder Wraps, as well as Mother-ease™ PUL Covers compliment these nappies beautifully. Insert is not included - Use your own slim pocket insert or select one of the two listed below which are designed specifically to fit the unique contour of this nappy. Choose from either a Happy Heiny's Hemp Stuffin which has 7 layers of absorbency or Happy Heiny's Microfibre insert which is a 3 layer quick-dry super thirsty microfibre insert. Insert size will be sent dependent on what size nappy you purchase ie small nappy - small insert, medium nappy - medium insert, large nappy - large insert. Alternatively you can use any insert of you choice as all brands should fit nicely into this nappy.
