Developed by a babywearing instructor & mum in Germany, the Manduca Organic Baby Carrier is supremely comfortable for both wearer & baby. The generously padded shoulder straps & wide waist belt work together to distribute baby's weight whilst baby sits in the orthopedically-recommended M position (baby's bottom is LOWER than the knees, as in a capital M).
Safe babywearing is important. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission states safe baby carriers will always have the baby in a position close enough to kiss, & the baby's knees should always be higher than his/her bottom in their sling or baby carrier.

Baby’s Natural ‘M’ Position
Baby’s knees are higher than their bottom – creating an M shape – orthopedically ideal.
The M position corresponds to a baby’s natural position & helps their hips to mature as nature intended.
The baby’s knees are pulled up, often as high as the tummy button. In this way, the baby’s legs & bottom form a capital “M”.
