A very easy and economical nappy choice which can be used as is with a nappy cover, as a booster for night nappies or as a pocket nappy stuffer.
Swaddlebees Cotton Prefolds are as basic as you can get with cloth nappying. It's a staple for most Mums that use cloth nappies. Regardless of the system you have, you will always need prefolds at least during the newborn stage, or even just for back up.
Made with 4x8x4 layers of 100% unbleached cotton twill that gets softer and more absorbent the longer it is used. Sold in 6-piece packs.
Don`t be surprised at how they appear when they arrive, wash them a few times in hot water & they will fluff up beautifully! They are unbleached so they have a lovely soft & natural ivory cotton colour.

Medium - approximately 37cm x 43cm. Fits babies approximately 5.5 to 11kg
Large - approximately 37cm x 53cm. Fits babies approximately 7 to 14kg
Special Note - Expect atleast some shrinkage of about 10% after washing.

Folding the nappies
The most popular way for newborns & girls is to fold the nappy into thirds. Lay the nappy with the two parallel stitched lines running horizontally & fold over each other as shown in the diagram. Lay on top of a waterproof cover & fasten securely to the baby.
Standard Fold
As boys get older, folding the nappy to create extra padding in front is the most popular. Lay on top of a waterproof cover & fasten securely to the baby.
Boy Fold
A modified version of this fold is useful in containing very loose stools, or if you want to secure the nappy with fasteners.
