How To Put Nappy On

Generally most cloth nappies are quite easy to put on, however there may be an occasion that a particular style/brand appears straight forward, but when you try to put it on, it doesn't seem quite as easy as you thought.

Problems such as leaks etc can occur if you are not putting the nappy on correctly or you have been using the wrong washing detergents or using fabric softener (you should not use any fabric softener at all!!!) etc. Please let me know if you experience any problems or you just aren't sure if you are doing it all correctly. It is very important at Cloth My Bot that you completely happy & satisfied with your nappy & cover purchase. I believe using your cloth nappies should be an enjoyable not stressful.

Putting On A Prefold (square shaped)

Your square shaped prefold is usually divided into 3 equal portions.

Fold your sides of the prefold to the centre to form a pad. Fold a small amount of the bottom section up, then unfold the top of the prefold to form wings. Place baby on the nappy, bring the bottom of the nappy up & then bring the two wings in & can either be secured under a nice snug cover or with a snappi fastener. A cover is needed for this style of nappy.

The shaped prefolds go on like a normal nappy & can either be secured under a nice snug cover or with a snappi fastener. A cover is needed for this style of nappy.

Putting On Fitted, Pocket, Onesize & AIO Nappies

Fitted, Pocket, Onesize & AIO Nappies go on like a disposable nappy & fastens with either velcro or snaps. Remember a Fitted Nappy then requires a cover, a Pocket Nappy must have the booster/s inserted in to the pocket area before putting on, the Onesize need to have the sizing adjusted & or booster/s inserted.
